Our Story
Rooted in the rich and diverse culinary traditions of India, the restaurant takes its name from the intricate 16th-century Jamavar shawls of Kashmir. It first opened at The Leela Palace Bengaluru in 2001, where it became renowned for its luxurious pan-Indian cuisine.
Following its success across five Indian cities, Jamavar London, by LSL Capital, opened on Mayfair’s Mount Street in 2016 as the brand’s first international outpost. This was followed by Jamavar Doha in 2021 at the Grand Sheraton Hotel & Resorts, and the opening of Jamavar Dubai in 2024, at Address Residences, Downtown Dubai. Today, all three international locations are recognised with a Michelin star, marking a shared commitment to culinary excellence and refined hospitality.
Our Food
Led by Culinary Director & Executive Chef Surender Mohan, the cuisine takes you on a culinary journey across the Indian subcontinent, from the royal kitchens of the North to the coastal cuisines of the South.
Prepared using the freshest local ingredients and authentic Indian techniques, the menu balances creative small plates alongside signature classics from the Nair family archives, including recipes inspired by family matriarch Leela Nair.
